Let's face it, it's been a LONG tough year. Pandemic aside, we haven't been able to meet our writing friends or writer's groups in person. Zoom has filled a void, but nothing can or will ever replace in person smiles, elbow-bump hugs, and the laughter at a table of like-minded writing comrades.
Writing is a solitary venture. It’s one thing to face the daunting blank page, or fifth rewrite, or the dreaded synopsis, alone. But those lone endeavors are revitalized after a meeting with other writers who face the same things. We are not alone when we belong to a tribe. This is most of our Thursday writing group, The Writers Craft. Though we’re on summer hiatus, we all got together for coffee for the fist time in over a year. What a great time chatting about writing challenges, epiphanies, opportunities... and favorite books read while the world was shut down, favorite movies, and who binged on what tv series. It's nice to have a tribe. As always, thank you, Café Louvre in Edmonds for always being such gracious hosts. We at EPIC Group Writers value our groups, small and large, and hope to inspire more in person meetings as the pandemic wanes (fingers crossed) people get vaccinated, and life gets back to a new normal. Meanwhile, online groups recommence in September. You can check our specific writing groups (poetry, morning pages, etc) here. Cheers, and keep writing. Mindy Halleck

We have such a variety of writers in our organization that we thought it would be fun, exciting and enlightening to have multiple blog post authors.
We will be sharing all sorts of writing-related topics! Archives
